Traffic Jam

http://www.sempretops.com/diversos/como-se-livrar-do-transito-de-sp/

Talking about Brazil, everybody knows that the traffic is the mainly problem in our country because we don’t have infrastructure to support all the city’s cars on rush hour, there are so many cars on the streets when the population could take a public transportation, like subway, bus or train. It’s very precarious our transportation’s way because there’s no right time it pass, and it’s crowd in most times.
http://www.vozeacao.com.br/?p=496
Today, especially in São Paulo, people gets crazy when is necessary take some avenue to go to some place or just go home after work, as Marginal Tietê or Pinheiros because there’s a lot of cars there. This situation we find in a ‘normal’ day, but imagine in a rainy day… it’s impossible to go home until 9 pm (when there is no flooding).
There are some alternatives transports the population can use as the public ones, like subways, trains, or bus but as I already told you, the Brazil’s system related to transportation is precarious and it will still like this for a long time…
When we want to take bus, some days we have to wait about 10 minutes, some days 30 minutes or about 1 hour. The buses here don’t have a right time to pass and this situation hinders people who need stay at work in a specific time.
To change this situation, the government must really want it, not just doing some new laws related to this, but making it work… as improve new projects in trains and subways to benefit the population that needs this transport; take seriously the plate rotation in cars and punishing who doesn’t respect it, forcing them to pay about R$ 1.000,00 or something like this and etc.
I think that the things will just change when the government starts to punish who doesn’t respect the laws and really understand the population’s condition, because everyone has a history about the transports… and you, do you have a history? Tell us…

MIGRAINE is the one of the worst pains...

First of all I'll explain what exactly Migraine is: it's a chemical instability in the brain like hormones, a substance called "peptide" and these substances cause a successions of others instability that could be caused of the way of life and habits of that person. A other way to explain more scientifically is a pressure that dilated blood vessels on brain tissue. It can be compared with a headache but what differ of a simple headache it's the intensity, Migraine it's a pain much stronger and constant than a headache and it persists for days until get better.
Migraine is a multifactorial disease because has several things the medicine known that could cause this disease such as genetic factor, environmental (just like smoke, poluted air, perfume smells and chemical products), hormonal, of behaviors (mood change, irritability, anxiety and even depression), don't sleep well or just sleep a lot or even less. It's not comproved yet but some migraines could be caused by liver problems. Who suffer of this disease needs to be carefull about all of these things, because migraine doesn't have a treatment and the only way to change it is avoiding the things that cause this pain or taking some alternative medicines.

Everybody becomes crazy when starts getting the migraine’s symptoms because it’s a persistent pain and there’s no popular medicine as neosaldina and aspirina that take this off.
As treatment, the most common are the neurologist’s clinics. You can be sure that going to a neurologist you’ll have the solution (after a lot of exams), that for sure will take your pain off, BUT, as I had this ‘problem’ I can tell you, the doctor will tell you that in a few months you’ll have to double the dose you’re taking today because your head will get used to it. This is the only problem of going in a neurologist’s clinic. You’ll become a drug addicted.
But as our medicine is wonderful, there are some others ways to treat it without taking a ‘drug medicine’:

- Homeopathy: More known when we talk about anxiety treatment but it can help with migraine’s treatment either.

Habit’s change: In most cases, the migraine is caused by some foods we eat, like the ones that contain sulfites, a preservative that’s often founded in white wines, dried fruits such as apricots, prunes and figs, canned vegetables and processed foods and alcohol. It’s necessary avoiding.

Acupuncture: This is a technique that involves needles into certain parts of your body. It can relax you and also help in this problem.

IMPORTANT:  we are just suggesting you some alternatives treatments, but a doctor’s evaluation is essential.

What do you usually do when you have Migraine? Can you stand this pain?

Marijuana

http://blocodenotas.eu/?p=100

First of all it's important explain what exactly is the Marijuana, a flower and dry leafs of a plant called Cannabis Sativa and more known as herb. The main reason that's forbidden are because it could cause dependence besides to some harm to body and especially the brain. Although some studies show more benefits than risk your use need to be controlled. Your Pros and Cons are:

image link
Pros
1. Used in many medical treatment to relieve symptons or just to feel better, most used in
disease like: cancer, convulsion, migraine, headache and many others.
2. it's more inoffensive than alcohol and tobaco.

Cons
1. The main worry about the legalization is the user utilize another kinds of strong drugs and
become dependent of it.
2. If it used excessively could cause serious brain damage.

Your legalization is polemic because many people are favor of it and another are against, but if even the alcohol and tobaco are legalized are comproved that's worst than marijuana, why not legalize? Maybe everybody are afraid of with just because everybody that are a drug user started with marijuana and was trying out others drugs much more stronger. The question is if anyone could use, what kind of way they'll choose? even being inoffensive. I think in our
country we already has many problems with drugs and isn't interesting legalize, just for medical purposes. Some ONG's in Brazil are a favor of legalization but we don't have any law that's allow your use. Who is a favor think the traffic drug would end and the people would have more freedom for use or not,but imagine if everybody that's use marijuana begin to try out others kind of drugs? In the future we would have much more problems that already have. And you
what do you think about the Marijuana's legalization?

Are you a couch potato?

Picture taken from Google Images (broken link)

Couch potato means a person that doesn’t like to exercise itself, lazy and has a sedentary life. If you:
1-      Don’t like to go to the gym because you don’t know how to use the equipments or don’t like to huff and puff in front of the others;
2-      Don’t have time to do anything else than work and study;
3-      Don’t have money or just think that make exercises is expensive;
4-      Or just don’t like to exercise yourself because you’re lazy and unwilling.
Identified yourself at least in one of these topics? It’s time to change…
Here are some tips about how you can change this situation:
- If you don’t like to go to the gym you can try to find other ways to take care of your body healthily: running or walking in parks (if you could have a partner to encourage you would be better), doing simple exercises everyday at home, take care about your meal preferring row foods than junk food…
- If you don’t have time to exercise your body, you could change some habits: If you go by car to near places, you should prefer go walking or by bicycle... you’ll help your health and also the environment.
Why being a couch potato is bad to your health?

It could cause many kind of diseases, because, you just do everything that it's no good to your body, like eat a lot and not practice exercises. The most common disease caused for this kind of habits are: Obesity, high cholesterol, gastritis, hypertension and heart diseases. These diseases are very dangerous if you don't change the way that you are living.
A bad meal accompanied with a sedentary life could be very harmful to health, and not having a right time to your meal could be another bad thing, because there's a right time for each meal to you keep your weight and that's the first thing to keep a good health, and a lack of exercises could cause the same diseases including also: cardiovascular diseases, depression and stress.
Even you knowing now about all of these things: Do you still want to become a "couch potato"?

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is a traditional holiday in many countries, but especially in US and Canada.
This tradition started in 1621 when some UK pilgrims went to the “new land”, where nowadays is US, to celebrate a great harvest season at Plymouth. There were about 90 native aborigines (the Wampanoag) that helped the pilgrims with agricultural techniques. The pilgrims, considered the new Americans, were celebrating the God’s charity to produce some food to them eat because in that time, there was a strong winter period  and more than a half of them died for the worst winter they passed by.
From that day on, it’s common in US the Thanksgiving Day and they take this seriously? Every year the whole country stops and offers food and thanks to the harvest and express gratitude for everything. This celebration happens on the fourth Thursday of November in US, but this day just became official in the beginning of 20 Century. In Canada this celebration just had a official date in the end of 19 Century, with the World War I.
The first thing related to food that come in their minds are Stuffed Turkey, Mashed Potatoes and Pumpkin Pie because is a traditional food in Thanksgiving’s celebration – as chocolate is eaten at Easter for us, Brazilians.
In Brazil this religious/thanking holiday is not common and that’s why we don’t have it here, but we do have some catholic holidays like “Nossa Senhora Aparecida”, more known as “Children’s Day”.
Every American sitcom we see, there’s at least one episode about Thanksgiving. As example there’s one episode on ‘Friends’(here) that shows perfectly how important it’s to them, how sad some of them became when what they planned got wrong. Other example is in Gossip Girl (here) where one episode is just about Thanksgiving and shows exactly how much they expect for the Thanksgiving night and the family/friend’s meeting. How anxiously the  Americans get the whole day: they just have to focus on that, get dressed up, make delicious traditional foods and meet the family and friends at night. It’s  the tradition!

Exotic's Food

The World has a great cultural diversity , like some habits, clothes, drinks e the most important one, Food, this one can be totally different in many countries, it could be tasty, disgusting, different, depends of the country and your taste. I'll talk about some exotic dishes around the world (most of them on Asian Continent).

Fugu (Japan) - Puffer fish meat usually served raw, but inside of fish there is a highly poisonous substance that's resist even while cooking. In 50% to 80% of the cases the ingestion could kill in 24 hours.

Drunken Shrimp (China) - it has to be eaten alive, but shrimps usually react when they're caught so, for this reason, before to be served they need to let them submerged in alcoholic drinks to be easily consumed.

Balut (Philippines) - nothing more than duck's egg, but it is while in progress, in other words is the same that if you eat a fetus, it's lightly cooked and served raw with the shell.

Kopi Luwak (Indonesia, Philippines)- just coffee beans, but the difference it's the way how it is done, these beans are collected on animals feces and even so it is considered the most tasty and expensive coffee in many countries.

Durian (Asian) - It's a fruit easily found in southeast Asian,it has a very bad smell that seems to be  rotten, its smell are compared with rotten onions, used socks and many others smelly stuff.

Casu Marzu (Italy) - a normal cheese, but once more it's the way how is prepared that's strange. Its process of manufacture need of a specific larva of a mosquito, when it's full of these larva’s the cheese is ready, because it's eaten with these larva’s alive.

Another exotic’s food: Cooked Brain’s pig, Shark’s rotten meat, Deer penis wine, Bird's nest soup, etc…

Well, after so many exotic and strange food we think that there is  everything out there and even so this is a little part of many others that's exist around the world. It's essential to find out which food are common in another places because if someday you go outside your city or country in order not to be surprised while you taste something unknown.
